Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, configure, and maintain security, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/visual, and network cabling. You will run and test cables, perform preventive maintenance, and diagnose faults to minimize downtime.

You will document activities, support end users, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery. A valid DOT medical certification and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• DOT medical certification valid for at least one year.
• Clean DOT driving record with no DUI/DWI in the last five years.
• No more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable commercial vehicle accidents in the last three years.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand and power tools and testing equipment.
• Experience with local electrical codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support low voltage systems including security, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/visual, and network cabling.
• Run, terminate, label, and test cabling per project requirements and industry standards.
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and functional testing to ensure system reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve system faults and outages to minimize downtime.
• Repair or replace components and restore systems to optimal condition.
• Evaluate and upgrade systems for improved performance and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records and generate reports on system activities.
• Provide technical support and training to end users.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure timely, high‑quality project completion.
• Operate and maintain assigned vehicles safely and in compliance with regulations.
