Job summary

Walmart is seeking a skilled technician to install and maintain low voltage systems, including security, CCTV, and network cabling. You will run, test, and document cabling, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot faults to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include repairing components, training end users, and coordinating with project teams to ensure timely completion. A high school diploma and blueprint/wiring diagram reading are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, installs, configures, and supports low voltage systems, including security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/visual systems, and network cabling.
• Runs, terminates, labels, and tests cabling in accordance with project requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards.
• Performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and functional testing to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves system faults, outages, and performance issues to minimize downtime.
• Repairs or replaces damaged components and restores systems to optimal operating condition.
• Maintains accurate records of installations, inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Provides technical support and training to end users on the proper operation and basic maintenance of low voltage systems.
• Coordinates and transports vehicles for required maintenance or inspections.
