Job summary

GreenWood, Inc. seeks a Low Voltage Technician to install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including security, fire alarm, and AV wiring. You will work independently and with plant teams performing preventative and predictive maintenance, reading blueprints, and ensuring peak equipment efficiency.

You will troubleshoot issues, use SAP CMMS for work orders, and contribute to a strong safety culture while collaborating on continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in low voltage wiring and data.
• Solid understanding of low voltage systems including security, fire alarm, and AV.
• Proficiency in electrical wiring for installing/maintaining low voltage systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Familiarity with hand tools and proper tool usage.
• Experience with fiber optic cabling installation/termination.
• Knowledge of Cat 5/6 cabling and termination.
• Ability to interpret testing device readings.
• Experience with conduit installation and bending.
• Strong communication and team collaboration.
• Problem-solving and safety-focused mindset.
• Post-secondary education or trade certificate is a plus.
• Proficiency with basic office software and maintenance data entry.

Responsibilities

• Run and terminate cables (CAT5/6, fiber, power).
• Install and configure equipment.
• Troubleshoot and test low voltage systems; repair/replace components.
• Work with low voltage systems daily.
• Maintain audio-visual and camera systems.
• Troubleshoot failures and identify root causes in a team setting.
• Participate in shift meetings and continuous improvement.
• Use CMMS SAP to manage work orders and history.
• Follow safety procedures before/during/after activities.
• Recognize this as a safety-sensitive position.
