Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to support operation of multiple facilities in Chester, VA. You will install and maintain low voltage systems, run and terminate cables, and provide training and support to end users.

The role ensures safety compliance, accurate recordkeeping, and collaboration with project teams. The position emphasizes reliability, timely issue resolution, and ongoing adherence to local codes and industry standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams is preferred.
• Experience with local electrical codes and standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and configures various low voltage systems (security, CCTV, fire alarms, audio/video, network cabling).
• Runs, terminates, and labels cables per project specs.
• Performs maintenance checks and resolves issues to minimize downtime.
• Provides user training and support for low voltage systems.
• Ensures installations comply with regulations and safety guidelines.
• Keeps detailed records and generates reports on maintenance and performance.
• Collaborates with technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure project success.
