Feldkamp Mechanical, a field of Kelso Industries, is seeking a diligent Low Voltage Service Technician Apprentice. This entry-level role trains in fire alarm, security, access control, CCTV, and data cabling.

You will learn installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems in commercial and industrial settings. You will work with seasoned technicians, perform on-site tasks, and complete apprenticeship training while developing hands-on skills in a growing segment of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Interest in electrical, low voltage, or building automation systems.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of low voltage systems, including fire alarm, security, CCTV, access control, and data cabling.
• Support technicians in troubleshooting and repairing system issues.
• Pull, route, terminate, and label low voltage wiring and cables.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Perform routine testing, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in a clean and organized manner.
• Follow all company safety standards and job site requirements.
• Complete required apprenticeship training and certifications.
