Job summary

State Systems, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is hiring for a Low Voltage Technician Apprentice. You will install, program, and service commercial fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and low voltage systems, ensuring safety and code compliance.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a valid driver’s license. Technical training is preferred, and the schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical school training preferred.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and service commercial fire alarm systems.
• Install, program, and service access control systems.
• Perform work related to CCTV, intrusion detection, and low voltage communication systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot low voltage systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and system issues using appropriate testing equipment.
• Ensure all installations comply with electrical and fire safety codes.
• Work independently or collaboratively to complete projects.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in proper working condition.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
