Job summary

Southern Oregon ESD is seeking a Low Voltage Technician Apprentice to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage systems such as LAN, CCTV, intercom, and A/V equipment. The role requires following Oregon codes and safety standards under supervision.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, an active LEA/licensing path or equivalent, and at least five years of related experience. This is a full-time, in-person position in Medford with a daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and enrolled in LEA licensing coursework or hold LEA/LEB license or equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience installing and repairing low-voltage systems.
• Knowledge of Oregon Building Codes, NEC, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage systems (LAN, CCTV, intercom, A/V).
• Read blueprints and specs to perform installations per code.
• Document services and materials used; maintain records.
