Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking a Systems Low Voltage Technician to join a fast-growing division. You will troubleshoot, commission, program, and oversee installation of low voltage systems on large-scale construction projects, using cutting-edge technology and on-site collaboration with field teams.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of related low voltage work experience, preferably with large-scale new construction projects.
• Access Control and/or CCTV Manufacturer certifications required. BICSI Installer certification preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes and construction safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, commissioning, programming, and overseeing installation of low voltage systems on large-scale projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications; install, troubleshoot, and configure access control, CCTV, networking and IP cameras.
• Coordinate with local inspectors and act as on-site technical advisor to meet quality and code requirements.
• Liaise with project management, other trades, customers, and field leaders to manage production schedule and scope changes.
