Job summary

CPG is actively seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer (Low Voltage) in Ashburn, VA to support White Space Fit Out initiatives with a strong emphasis on low voltage cabling and infrastructure for fast-paced construction projects.

You will develop cost estimates, assist with solutioning and proposals, and create detailed layouts and test plans for structured cabling, including fiber and copper systems, while coordinating with sales, engineering, preconstruction, and finance teams to ensure timely delivery

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in structured cabling and low voltage projects.
• 3+ years in construction estimating for mission critical systems.
• Interpret contract terms, conditions, and exhibits.
• Experience in data center design, installation, and testing of fiber networks.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review RFP/RFQ documents and support information requests regarding low voltage scope.
• Create cabling layouts, pathways, and test plans for CAT6/CAT6a and fiber systems.
• Prepare design and cost estimates for low voltage projects.
• Support proposal development and bid documentation.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, preconstruction, execution, and finance teams.
• Perform site walks and data center audits for accurate pricing.
