Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking self-motivated Low Voltage Service Technicians to support service and installation projects at various locations nationwide.

The role requires strong problem solving, reliability, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards. Key duties include installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of cabling infrastructure in commercial buildings, regional travel within a 2-4 hour radius, and occasional overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Data cable technician with CAT5e, fiber optic, and network experience.
• Industry certifications (BICSI, Systimax, Panduit, Beldon, Corning) are a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cabling infrastructure.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
• Ensure cables are neatly tied and bundled per safety regulations.
• Install cable support structures such as j-hooks and cable racks.
• Conduct tests to verify cable systems and devices are operational.
• Troubleshoot issues with the cable network.
