Wachter, Inc. is seeking an experienced Low-Voltage Cable Technician to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. The role involves hands-on installations and leading small teams on multi-week projects across extensive travel.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience in low-voltage systems, fiber optic termination, and network infrastructure, with a valid driver’s license and PPE. We offer competitive pay, per-diem, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage systems, structured cabling, networking, and CCTV.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic termination, network infrastructure, and POS deployment/troubleshooting.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in the last 3 years).
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Must possess basic telecom tools and standard PPE.
• Leadership experience and ability to manage small teams.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain structured cabling systems (Cat5/Cat6, fiber, coax).
• Perform conduit installation, cable dressing, and termination inside IDF/MDF cabinets.
• Install and configure CCTV and network devices.
• Lead small teams on multi-week projects to ensure timely, safe delivery.
• Read and interpret blueprints and site maps.
• Operate BOOM/scissor lifts for work at heights up to 40+ feet.
• Conduct system testing and ensure safety/compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with clients and team members.
