Job summary

Catapult Federal Services seeks a skilled Low Voltage Systems Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure installations from planning through commissioning in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will coordinate with clients, architects, general contractors, and internal teams to meet objectives on time and within budget.

The role requires a strong background in security, fire alarm, telecommunications, and A/V systems, plus 3+ years of PM experience and a relevant bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on low voltage systems experience.
• 3+ years of project management experience.
• 10 years of combined low voltage systems and PM experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera.
• CAD software and blueprint reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and manage multiple low voltage projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop comprehensive project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Monitor project progress and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Review electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ensure installations comply with NEC, NFPA, and manufacturer requirements.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and final acceptance procedures.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and develop solutions.
• Supervise project teams and allocate resources.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce safety protocols.
• Serve as primary client contact during execution.
• Manage client expectations and address concerns.
• Coordinate project changes and obtain approvals.
• Prepare documentation, reports, and closeout packages.
• Manage budgets and track expenses.
• Process change orders and maintain records.
• Ensure permitting and inspections are followed.
