Low Voltage Project Manager *Iowa Market (Des Moines, West Des Moines, Altoona, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, and surrounding areas)*
Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial security, low-voltage, and technology infrastructure projects throughout Iowa. This individual will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle from project award through closeout while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to customer expectations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in access control, video surveillance, structured cabling, and integrated security solutions, with the ability to coordinate field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customers across multiple active projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial security and low-voltage projects simultaneously from award through completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, labor forecasts, resource plans, and material procurement timelines.
- Coordinate security technicians, low-voltage installers, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure project requirements are executed accurately.
- Conduct project kickoff meetings, customer updates, progress reviews, and project closeout meetings.
- Track project financial performance, labor utilization, budget adherence, change orders, and forecasting.
- Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, industry standards, and applicable building codes.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, engineering, and field leadership teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project delivery.
- Manage project documentation, as-built drawings, closeout packages, testing reports, and customer handoff processes.
- Support commissioning and turnover activities for access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of project management experience within the commercial security, low-voltage, structured cabling, technology infrastructure, or construction industry.
- Experience managing projects ranging from $100,000 to multi-million-dollar installations.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Access Control Systems
- CCTV / Video Surveillance

- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software platforms.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Iowa.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP Certification or actively pursuing PMP certification.
- Experience with security platforms such as Genetec, LenelS2, Avigilon, CCURE, Honeywell, Brivo, Bosch, Milestone, or similar enterprise security systems.
- Experience supporting data center, healthcare, education, manufacturing, commercial office, industrial, or mission‑critical construction projects.
- Knowledge of structured cabling standards, fiber optic infrastructure, and low-voltage technology deployments.
- BICSI, NICET, OSHA 10/30, or other industry‑recognized certifications.
- Experience managing projects for enterprise clients or large-scale commercial construction environments.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
