Job summary

MGT Livermore, CA, is seeking a Low Voltage Journeyman to install and support structured cabling and access control systems. You will work with low-voltage infrastructure, test copper and fiber, and ensure compliance with ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.

The role requires collaboration with project managers and field staff. The candidate should have 3+ years in cabling, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of structured cabling and low-voltage experience.
• Experience with Ethernet, fiber, and access control systems.
• Reading blueprints and diagrams; familiarity with BICSI/ANSI/TIA standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and support structured cabling per standards.
• Install and service access control devices and door hardware.
• Triage issues, document progress, and coordinate with project teams.
