Job summary

Chapel-Romanoff Technologies, LLC (CRT), an EMCOR Company, seeks a Low Voltage Integration and Security Technician in Dayton, Ohio. The role focuses on installing, terminating, and testing copper and fiber cabling, and supporting CCTV, access control, video management, and intrusion systems.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of field experience in low voltage or security systems; BICSI certification is desirable, HS diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience in low voltage and/or security systems.
• BICSI certification desirable but not required.
• Must obtain OSHA 30 Safety and Health certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test copper and fiber cabling systems.
• Implement, activate, and support CCTV, Access Control, Video Management, and intrusion systems.
• Read project drawings, specifications, submittals and develop implementation plans.
• Utilize Excel, Word, Outlook and associated business applications to communicate/document projects.
• Maintain and require safety requirements and support safety efforts.
• Ensure work complies with national and local codes and industry standards.
• Provide updates to as-built drawings as necessary.
• Attend/hold Tool Box safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency.
• Obtain OSHA 30 Safety and Health standards certification.
• Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.

General Duties And Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test copper and fiber cabling systems.
• Implement, activate, and support CCTV, Access Control, Video Management, and intrusion systems.
• Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, test equipment.
• Read project drawings, specifications, submittals and develop project implementation plans.
• Utilize Excel, Word, Outlook, and associated business applications to communicate/document project.
• Maintain and require safety requirements and support safety efforts of the organization.
• Accomplishes work in accordance with expectations and ensure national and local codes and industry standards are maintained.
• Provide updates to as-built drawings as necessary, according to department policies.
• Attend/hold Tool Box safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention, ethics, etc.
• Obtain OSHA 30 Safety and Health standards certification.
• Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.

Education And Experience

• 5 Years of field experience performing Low Voltage and/or Security systems.
• BICSI certification desirable but not required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
