Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Technician, Facility Services - Low Voltage in Grand Junction, CO to support and operate low voltage systems across multiple facilities. You will set up and maintain security, fire alarm, CCTV, and AV/network cabling, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role involves practical hands-on work with wiring, tool use, and minimal travel to serve various Walmart locations. Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and certifications is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Prior work experience in role requiring knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.
• Training or certification in low voltage systems.
• CompTIA certifications for networking (Network+).
• Manufacturer-specific certifications (Honeywell, Axis, or Bosch systems). OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and configures low voltage systems (security, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video, network cabling).
• Runs, terminates, and labels cables per project requirements and standards.
• Performs maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability.
• Provides technical support and training to end users on low voltage systems.
• Ensures installations and repairs comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Communicates with clients to understand needs and provide solutions.
• Travels domestically to support multiple facilities as required.
