Job summary

Instrata is seeking a detail-oriented Low Voltage Estimator to interpret complex plans, perform precise take-offs, and build competitive bids across AV, security, structured cabling, and related scopes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align scope, pricing, and client expectations.

The role emphasizes accuracy, vendor coordination, and using tools like Bluebeam Revu, Excel, AutoCAD, and Revit to support accurate estimates and winning proposals.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of low voltage estimating, field design, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling, AV, security, and telecom systems.
• Experience interpreting construction plans, bid sets, and subcontractor requirements.
• Confidence using estimating software, Bluebeam Revu, Excel, and project tools.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit for device placement and pathway coordination.

Responsibilities

• Interpret Division 27 and 28 drawings, bid manuals, and specs to develop project requirements.
• Perform take-offs using Bluebeam Revu to generate detailed material and labor estimates.
• Own the numbers by building competitive estimates with labor models and BOMs.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors for scope clarity and price accuracy.
• Craft professional, complete bid packages with clear assumptions and exclusions.
• Respond to RFIs/ASIs/addenda while aligning estimating with project management.
