Job summary

IDR, Inc. is seeking a Low Voltage Estimator / Preconstruction (Structured Cabling & Data Centers) to join a top client in Alpharetta, GA. The role focuses on takeoffs and pricing for large-scale low-voltage deployments, with data center experience preferred.

Expect to review drawings, specifications, and bid documents, producing detailed estimates and competitive proposals. Travel across the Southeast and collaboration with sales and engineering teams are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating low-voltage projects end-to-end.
• Structured cabling and network infrastructure experience.
• Ability to read drawings/specifications and translate to pricing.
• Proficiency with estimating takeoff tools and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed estimates and quotes for low-voltage projects (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors).
• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents and complete accurate takeoffs for structured cabling/network scope.
• Build competitive proposals for deployments including Cat6/Cat6A and fiber pathways, racks/cabinets, and terminations/testing.
• Partner with sales, engineering, and project teams to document assumptions/exclusions/risks and support bid deadlines.
• Support site walks and customer meetings and travel across the Southeast as needed.

Required Skills for Low Voltage Estimator / Preconstruction:

• Must have proven experience estimating/quotinglow-voltageprojects end-to-end.
• Strong estimating background instructured cabling and network infrastructure(commercial environments).
• Ability to interpretconstruction drawings/blueprints/specificationsand translate scope into pricing.
• Proficiency with estimating/takeoff tools and strongMicrosoft Excelskills.
