Job summary

Captivate Staffing Group is seeking a Low Voltage Design Engineer in Alpharetta, GA. The role focuses on design and coordination of low voltage systems including telecommunications, security, and audio-visual systems.

You will work with architects, engineers, clients, and construction teams to develop coordinated designs throughout the project lifecycle. The candidate should have 2–4+ years of experience in low voltage design, proficiency with Revit, and relevant certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; equivalent hands-on design experience considered.
• 2–4+ years' experience designing low voltage systems.
• Experience with access control, CCTV, intrusion detection.
• Experience with structured cabling, fiber optic, CAT6/CAT6A, and telecommunications.
• Proficiency creating floor plans and system drawings in Revit.
• Understanding of RFIs, submittals and field coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design low voltage technology systems and prepare detailed drawings, floor plans, schematics, and construction documents.
• Develop and coordinate designs using Autodesk Revit.
• Design systems such as access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, structured cabling, and telecommunications.
• Develop fiber optic and CAT6/CAT6A cabling layouts and related documentation.
• Assist with construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and field coordination.
• Visit active construction sites and existing facilities to support project requirements and verify existing conditions.
