QPS Employment Group is hiring a Data Center Technician in Cedar Rapids, IA to support structured cabling, fiber, and copper installations. The role involves install, terminate, and test cabling in fast-paced data center environments with weekly pay and benefits.

You will read blueprints and diagrams, work with trays and racks, and maintain a safe workspace while meeting project requirements. Training and career growth are available through Next Level Technician.

Formación

• Previous data center, structured cabling, or low-voltage experience preferred.
• Experience with Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling.
• Familiarity with cable termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced data center environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow project instructions.
• Ability to lift equipment and materials as required.
• Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening.

Responsabilidades

• Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Perform structured cabling installations within data center environments.
• Install cable trays, ladder racks, J-hooks, and cable management systems.
• Pull, route, dress, and label low-voltage cabling.
• Assist with rack and stack installations and equipment mounting.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and cabling diagrams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all project-specific safety requirements and procedures.
