Job summary

CBRE is seeking Technical Trainers (Associate and Senior levels) in New Albany, OH to train and mentor technicians in live data center environments.

You will lead hands-on instruction on low-voltage fundamentals, fiber/copper termination, splicing, testing, and rack/pathway installation, while developing learning assets aligned with BICSI standards.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years hands-on experience in low-voltage electrical work, structured cabling, or data center infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills with an interest in coaching and mentorship.
• Experience in curriculum development, instructional coaching, or technical team leadership.
• Deep familiarity with BICSI methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate & Teach: Lead classroom and hands-on lab training on low-voltage electrical fundamentals, fiber/copper termination, splicing, testing, and rack/pathway installation.
• Develop Learning Assets: Create job aids, SOPs, digital modules, and practical assessments aligned with BICSI and TIA/EIA standards.
• Assess & Coach: Evaluate technician skill progression, conduct safety audits, and provide 1-on-1 coaching.
• Optimize Programs: Partner with operations and field leadership to continuously improve training materials and safety compliance.

In this role, you will lead hands-on instruction covering structured cabling (copper & fiber), low-voltage fundamentals, patching, termination, testing, and safety protocols in mission-critical facilities.

Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate & Teach: Lead classroom and hands-on lab training on low-voltage electrical fundamentals, fiber/copper termination, splicing, testing, and rack/pathway installation.


• Develop Learning Assets: Create job aids, SOPs, digital modules, and practical assessments aligned with BICSI and TIA/EIA standards.

• Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word).


• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent trade/field experience.


• Salary: $75,000 - $105,000+ per year (commensurate with level and experience)


• Relocation: Full relocation package offered for eligible candidates moving to Columbus, OH
