Job summary

Faith Technologies, Inc. seeks an Associate Project Manager to generate business, manage electrical and/or specialty systems construction projects, and oversee staff.

Proficiency with PCs and MS Office is expected; knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD is preferred along with electrical trades experience. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, with 1 year estimating experience or 5 years in electrical trades plus 1 year estimating.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical training.
  • Experience: 1 year of electrical estimating experience or 5 years in the electrical trade plus one year of electrical estimating experience.
  • Travel: 15-20%
  • Work schedule: Typical hours 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Mon–Fri; may work outside these hours as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and staffs electrical construction projects.
  • Ensures projects are completed profitably, timely, and to customer expectations.
  • Identifies and generates new business.
  • Networks, establishes, and maintains customer relationships.
  • Promotes a positive Company Culture through constructive employee relations.
  • Works with Purchasing and vendors for material coordination.
  • Attends weekly and monthly meetings.
  • Participates in field performance reviews and salary adjustments for field staff.
  • Maintains employee relations.
  • Partners with HR to optimize recruiting and related topics for direct reports.
  • Reviews outgoing estimates with Estimating Department.
  • Visits jobsites and interfaces with crew, customers, foremen, and GC to ensure progress and safety.

Associate Project Managers are responsible for generating business, providing general management of electrical and/or specialty systems construction projects, and overseeing staff. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD is preferred, and knowledge of the electrical construction trade is preferred.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical training
  • Experience: 1 year of electrical estimating experience or 5 years of experience in the electrical trade and one year of electrical estimating experience
  • Travel: 15-20%
  • Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes, and staffs electrical construction projects.
  • Ensures that projects are completed profitably, in a timely manner, and according to customer expectations.
  • Identifies and generates new business.
  • Networks, establishes, and maintains customer relationships.
  • Promotes a positive Company Culture by fostering friendly and constructive employee relations.
  • Works with Purchasing Department and vendors to ensure effective material coordination.
  • Attends weekly and monthly meetings (i.e., Staffing Meeting, PM Meeting, Sales Meeting, etc.).
  • Participates in bi-annual field performance review process; conducts effective employee performance reviews in a timely manner; and establishes field merit wage increases.
  • Maintains employee relations.
  • Partners with Human Resources to optimize recruiting and selection, employee relations, and other related topics as it pertains to direct reports.
  • Reviews outgoing estimates with Estimating Department to ensure accuracy.
  • Visits various jobsites and interacts with crew, customers, foreman, and general contractors to ensure proper job progress and to support and encourage safe behavior.
