Job summary

KLA is seeking an Electrical Hardware Engineer III to lead the design of instrumented wafer products. You will own the development of mixed-signal subsystems, integrating sensors, analog/digital electronics, and power management, while collaborating with firmware, systems, mechanical, and manufacturing teams across the product lifecycle.

You will define architectures, perform trade studies, and drive validation plans to ensure performance and reliability in constrained environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years designing and developing electronic hardware products.
• Experience with mixed-signal circuit design including analog and digital electronics.
• Experience developing schematics and supporting PCB design and integration.
• Hands‑on laboratory experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, and other test equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with root‑cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mixed-signal electrical subsystems for instrumented wafer products.
• Define electrical architectures and evaluate design tradeoffs for performance, power, reliability and cost.
• Develop low-power analog and digital circuitry for sensing and embedded applications.
• Select and integrate sensors, ADCs, microcontrollers, memory devices, batteries and interfaces.
• Create schematics and drive PCB/substrate development through reviews and release.
• Develop validation plans and electrical characterization activities.
