Job summary

True Markets is building the next generation of digital asset trading. The Trading Engineer will work on C++ services at the core of the exchange—matching engine, market data pipeline, and gateways.

This role emphasizes performance and correctness, with growth from scoped tasks to independent ownership. You will contribute to order state, sequence integrity, and recovery behavior, while collaborating with a senior engineer to scale the system and improve deploys and observability in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 2+ years writing production systems code.
• C++17 or newer with tooling (CMake, gcc/clang, unit test framework).
• Comfortable on Linux: building, running, debugging from CLI.
• Understanding of concurrency and memory for performance.
• AI-native: Claude Code or comparable tooling as a daily force multiplier.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trading services in modern C++ on Linux.
• Deliver scoped slices of larger projects from ticket to production.
• Work on the market data pipeline: feed handlers, snapshot and sequence handling.
• Extend REST, WebSocket, and FIX gateways for clients.
• Write and maintain automated tests and prove behavior under failure.
