Job summary

SysTechCorp Inc. is seeking an architect/engineer to design, implement, and evolve scalable networking software for high-speed interconnects. You will own kernel-level development, performance optimization, and reliability.

You will collaborate with product, hardware, and systems teams to prototype, benchmark, and productionize platform enhancements, perform RCA, and lead debugging across Linux and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Linux kernel and driver development using C.
• Production experience supporting Linux kernel, networking, and driver issues.
• Deep understanding of bare-metal and virtualized environments, including performance tradeoffs.
• Strong expertise in InfiniBand, Ethernet, RDMA, RoCE.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and UDP networking.
• Hands-on Linux networking configuration, performance tuning, and diagnostic tools.
• Packet-level analysis experience.
• Linux kernel debugging using tcpdump, kgdb, crash.
• Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency data transport protocols.
• Knowledge of DKMS and kernel version compatibility.
• Proficiency in C, Bash, Python.
• Experience with MPI and Massively Parallel Processing architectures.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and evolve scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant networking software for high-speed, low-latency interconnects.
• Deliver predictable networking performance across large-scale MPP and distributed systems.
• Evaluate and drive adoption of emerging technologies across: High-performance networking; Network adapters/NICs; DPUs and SmartNICs; Accelerators; Interconnect fabrics.
• Lead complex system-level debugging and root-cause analysis of customer and field issues.
• Perform SLES Linux OS crash dump analysis across hardware, firmware, operating system, and networking layers.
• Conduct targeted research initiatives and develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate emerging technologies.
• Benchmark new technologies and quantify performance to guide platform architecture and technology decisions.
• Partner with product, hardware, platform, and systems engineering teams to prototype, benchmark, and productionize platform enhancements.
• Establish performance benchmarks, validation methodologies, and success metrics for networking and interconnect technologies.
• Influence platform roadmaps through knowledge of industry trends, academic research, and partner technologies.
• Provide technical leadership through: Architecture and design reviews, Code reviews, Technical discussions, Mentoring and guidance of other engineers.
• Leverage modern AI-assisted coding, analysis, debugging, and testing tools to improve development velocity, code quality, and reliability.
