Job summary

Durlston Partners is seeking a Low-Latency Network Engineer in New York to design and operate ultra-fast trading networks that directly influence firm P&L. You will work with elite engineers on hardware-specific optimization and precise timing to push latency to the nanosecond level.

Responsibilities include end-to-end network design, exchange colo management, and latency instrumentation. The role offers autonomy, direct impact, and a high-performance culture in a top market center.

Qualifications

• Deep low-latency networking in a trading or HFT environment.
• Strong Layer 1/2/3, multicast, and precision timing expertise.
• Hands-on with high-end networking gear and NICs, kernel bypass tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise ultra-low-latency trading networks end to end.
• Tune Layer 1 switching, multicast market data, and precision time to the nanosecond.
• Own exchange colocation, cross-connects and connectivity across NY venues.
• Squeeze latency out of NICs, kernel-bypass stacks and switch fabrics.
• Build the capture, measurement and monitoring that proves every nanosecond gained.
