Job summary

Grid Dynamics in New York City is seeking a senior engineer to join a Tier 1 bank's Fixed Income eTrading platform. You will build low-latency components in Rust and help migrate from C++.

You will work in a hybrid office, three days per week, embedded with client eTrading engineers to deliver high-performance trading infrastructure.

The role emphasizes autonomy, rigorous profiling, and production-ready Rust/C++ collaboration across pricing, distribution, and hedging.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ background with ultra-low-latency trading systems experience.
• Hands-on Rust experience or strong willingness to master Rust for production use.
• Deep understanding of memory layouts, cache efficiency, and profiling.

Responsibilities

• Build core low-latency eTrading systems in Rust from the ground up.
• Analyze existing C++ code to guide architecture and migration.
• Develop high-frequency pricing, distribution, and hedging capabilities.
• Profile, benchmark, and optimize for predictable ultra-low latency.
