Job summary

DURLSTON PARTNERS in New York is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to join its high-frequency trading team. You will work across the live trading stack, building and optimizing infrastructure to support ultra-low latency decisions.

Requirements include modern C++ (C++17+), multithreading, memory management and Linux networking. Prior HFT experience is a strong advantage, though exceptional engineers from related fields will be considered. Salary up to $700k TC negotiable.

Qualifications

• Proficient in modern C++ (C++17+) with performance focus.
• Strong multithreading and memory management skills.
• Linux development experience and networking knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.
• Experience in low-latency or high-frequency environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimise the trading system stack for live execution.
• Design high-performance C++ components for sub-microsecond latency.
• Tune production code for speed, reliability, and throughput.
• Collaborate with traders, quants, and engineers.
• Participate in full software lifecycle in a fast-paced setting.
