**LOUNGE BARBACK Profile**

Reports to: Food & Beverage Managers and Director Food & Beverage; position is non-exempt

Who You Are

Your past experiences have led you to understand that there is an art + science to the responsibilities of a hospitality operations professional. You aim to spend your nights working behind the bar, supporting the bar team, and building relationships with guests. During the day, you enjoy reading about spirits, the history of cocktails, and exploring the Instagram accounts of the best bars in the world. You are welcoming and embody gracious hospitality at all times.

The Role

As a barback, you will support bar operations and assist in creating memorable guest experiences. Responsibilities include stocking, cleaning, assisting in food and drink delivery, and ensuring menu knowledge for safe service. Ongoing training will expand your knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.

You are reliable, responsible, punctual, polished, and team-oriented. Building trusting relationships with peers and guests is essential. Our team values collaboration, humility, and open-mindedness.

What You Will Do

  • Uphold the company’s principles of People, Place, and Character, fostering collaboration and hospitality
  • Assist in all aspects of the guest experience, from greeting to ensuring satisfaction
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace, stock the bar, and prepare ingredients
  • Provide professional service, ensuring responsible alcohol service and consistency in cocktails
  • Use good judgment to deliver an exceptional guest experience
  • Learn and understand culinary terms and continuously study your craft
  • Participate in team meetings and provide feedback for improvement
  • Report facility issues to management
  • Communicate effectively with the team to ensure timely service
  • Assist in other F&B areas as needed

What You Will Need

  • Passion for hospitality and community culture
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a barback
  • TiPS and SafeStaff certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Legal age to serve alcohol
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Fluency in English

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and 100 lbs. with assistance
  • Continuous standing, walking, and negotiating wet surfaces
  • Fine motor skills for pouring and decorating
  • Work in extreme temperatures and handle hot fluids
