Job summary

Louis Ptak Construction in the Bay Area is seeking an experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our subcontracting team. You will perform finish carpentry installations across high-end residential estates, interpret drawings and specs, measure and cut, and collaborate with foremen and other trades to maintain schedules.

You bring 10+ years finish carpentry and 5+ years high-end residential experience with references, own tool set, safety focus, and a strong work ethic.

• From the job: 10+ years of finish carpentry experience.
• Experience in high-end residential construction is required.
• Must be able to provide 3 references.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality carpentry installations including framing, millwork, doors, windows, siding, cabinets, and stairs.
• Interpret construction documentation such as drawings, specifications, sketches, RFIs, and submittals.
• Collaborate with foremen, project managers, and other trades to ensure workflow.

Louis Ptak Construction is seeking a Journeyman Carpenters for our Subcontracting team with job sites in the Bay Area.

What you get to own:

• Perform high-quality carpentry installations, including framing, millwork (casing, baseboard, crown molding, wall, and ceiling paneling), doors, windows, siding, cabinets, and stairs.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret construction documentation, including drawings, specifications, sketches, RFI’s, and Submittals.
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision.
• Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure all work aligns with company quality standards and project deadlines.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Collaborate with foremen, project managers, and other trades to ensure seamless workflow.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site carpentry issues.
• Mentor and develop junior carpenters and apprentices

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years of finish carpentry experience.
• 5+ years of high-end residential experience (must be able to provide 3 references).
• Have a full complement of tools, including specialty tools for division 6.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Shows a strong work ethic.
