Job summary

EC Source is seeking a LOTO Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s energy isolation and hazardous energy control program. The role collaborates with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and leadership to ensure OSHA compliance and a strong safety culture.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial safety or EHS, hands-on LOTO program management, and proven training delivery skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of industrial safety, maintenance, engineering, or EHS experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing or administering LOTO programs.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910.147 (Control of Hazardous Energy).
• Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
• Preferred CSP, CIH, or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company Lockout/Tagout program.
• Establish and update written energy control procedures for equipment and machinery.
• Conduct periodic reviews and audits of LOTO processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, local, and company safety requirements.
• Maintain documentation, records, and program metrics.
• Conduct routine and annual LOTO inspections and compliance audits.
• Track corrective actions and ensure timely completion.
• Investigate LOTO-related incidents, near misses, and non-compliance events.
• Prepare reports and present findings to leadership.
• Support regulatory inspections and customer audits.
• Develop and deliver LOTO training for authorized, affected, and other employees.
• Evaluate employee competency through assessments and field observations.
• Ensure contractors understand and comply with site-specific LOTO requirements.
• Promote awareness campaigns focused on hazardous energy control.
• Partner with engineering and maintenance teams to identify hazardous energy sources.
• Review new equipment installations and modifications for LOTO requirements.
• Lead energy isolation risk assessments.
• Assist in developing machine-specific lockout procedures and visual guides.
• Recommend improvements to equipment design that enhance worker safety.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve safety performance.
• Support site leadership in achieving safety objectives and regulatory compliance.
