Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a LOTO Authority Energy Marshal for our Houston, TX project. You will administer Energy Isolation Management and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) within the project Energy Isolation program, coordinating with construction, startup, ES&H, and engineering teams to maintain safe, zero-energy conditions.

You will verify compliance, issue and close permits, and apply live-dead-live verification and other safety controls.

Qualifications

Knowledge of NFPA 70E, electrically safe work conditions, shock and arc-flash risk controls.
Ability to scope and evaluate isolation boundaries using drawings, schematics, and field data.
Experience administering EIPs, energy-boundary registers, lock box and key controls, safety tagging, and auditable records.

Responsibilities

Implement Energy Isolation Management and LOTO programs per Bechtel procedures, project safety plans, permits, NFPA 70E, and regulations.
Define isolation boundaries using field walkdowns, drawings, P&IDs, panel schedules, cable data, system status, stored energy, feeds, backfeeds, and interfaces.
Review, issue, modify, suspend, revoke, and close Energy Isolation Permits with verified scope and sign-off.
Coordinate energization, re-energization, switching, isolation, and handovers with multiple teams and customers.
Apply electrical safe-work requirements including live-dead-live verification and temporary/permanent power controls.
