This role involves managing the check-in process, overseeing the "numbering" of units, and ensuring the lot is clean, safe, and ready for customers. Duties/Responsibilities
  • Oversees the check-in process for all incoming vehicles, ensuring VINs are scanned, and inventory stickers are applied correctly.

  • Conducts daily lot audits to identify and reconcile any missing units or misplaced inventory.
  • Manages the Inoperable Vehicle area, coordinating with the forklift operators and tow drivers to move these units safely.
  • Ensures the lot is customer ready by overseeing trash removal, weed control, and the clear marking of lane numbers.
  • Responsible for the security of the lot, ensuring that all vehicles are locked and keys are secured at the end of each day.
  • Coordinates the set-up for the morning of the auction, including the placement of cones, signage, and barriers.
  • Assists the Transportation Department by identifying and clearing paths for multi-car haulers to load and unload.
  • Trains lot staff on the use of handheld inventory scanners and the internal auction management software.
  • Monitors the key-to-car ratio, ensuring that every vehicle on the lot has its corresponding key accounted for in the system.
