Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, is seeking a vehicle transporter to move and stage cars across the lot for auction activities. You will operate motor vehicles safely, coordinate drivers, and ensure accurate inventory in the tracking system.

The role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid license, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements.
• Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
• Automotive or auction experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Lot Coordination: Coordinate lot driving activities by guiding drivers to ensure the correct vehicles are moved and staged efficiently.
• Workflow Monitoring: Monitor workflow across the lot, provide direction as needed, and support overall operational accuracy.
• Safe Operations: Always operate motor vehicles safely and practice conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
• Operational Support: Safely move, stage, and park various makes, models, sizes, and conditions of vehicles in designated lot areas throughout the shift.
• Inventory Accuracy: Scan parked vehicles in the Internal Tracking system to maintain accurate inventory and record movement.
• Technical Support: Jump-start vehicles using a battery box as required.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain work areas to ensure a safe environment and promptly notify managers of all driving-related incidents or potential hazards.
• Policy Adherence: Ensure that company policies, procedures, and state or federal laws are followed.
• Other Duties: Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
