Job summary

George’s Inc. is seeking a Lot Driver CDL in Edinburg, VA. The role requires a current Class A CDL, ability to pass a DOT physical, and English proficiency. You will safely transport products, back trailers into loading docks, and assist with dock operations while following all regulations.

Qualifications

• Current Class A CDL Driver’s license.
• Must pass DOT physical.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• 1 year of driver’s school training or 2 years without training.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Proficiency in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous poultry or meat processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport products and materials safely and efficiently.
• Back trailers into loading docks and maneuver within the yard.
• Inspect trailers and assist with dock movements.
• Maintain compliance with DOT and animal welfare rules.

## Lot Driver CDLApply: Edinburg, VA: Full time: Posted Yesterday: JR-2026008573It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!*We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.***SUMMARY:** The Lot Driver - CDL is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting product and materials to ensure daily operational business needs are met.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include, but are not limited to, the following:* Perform all pre and post trip checks as per protocol* Obey all local, State, Federal and DOT regulations* Maintain a safe work environment* Obey all animal welfare rules and regulation laws* Back trailers into and out of loading dock, safely maneuvering the trucks within the yard.* Assist with docking.* Inspect trailers (lot check).* Assist jack drivers with the movement of items in the dock area, as needed.* Only move trailer when light is green.* Communicate professionally with all other team members, including the truck drivers.* Chock wheels of trailer when backing into the loading dock.* When using an over the road tractor, ensure the pin on the fifth wheel is pulled and not re-hooked.* Responsible for being on call during the weekend as needed.* Responsible for using proper technique and any other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.* Maintain satisfactory attendance and job performance in accordance with company policies and procedures* Obey all animal welfare rules and regulation laws* All other duties as assigned**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**This position will not have supervisory responsibility.**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE*** **Required** + Current Class A CDL Driver’s license + Must be able to pass DOT physical + Must be 18 years or older + Must be eligible to work in the United States + 1 year of experience with completed driver's school training or 2 years of experience without driver's school training required + Follow verbal and written instructions + Proficiency in English* **Preferred** + High school diploma or equivalent + Previous poultry or meat processing experience*George’s is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
