Job summary

Premier Automotive in Kansas City, KS is seeking a details‑oriented lot attendant to manage vehicle storage, inspect shipments, and support the service flow. You will verify invoices, tag and track cars, and keep the lot clean and organized to uphold dealership displays.

Responsibilities include moving vehicles, delivering to the prep department, and maintaining tires, fluids, and batteries. A valid driver’s license is required and basic math, reading, and writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with money, measurements, and graphs.

Responsibilities

• Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoices.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and verify listed accessories.
• Record damages and missing items on delivery receipts.
• Park new vehicles in assigned areas and catalog/store keys.
• Assign stock control numbers to cars and move sold vehicles as needed.
• Deliver sold vehicles to the preparation department.
• Service vehicles in storage to protect tires, battery, and finish.
• Maintain inventory appearance by cleaning interiors and exteriors, refilling fluids, replacing batteries.
• Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.
• Keep lots neat and orderly per manager instructions.
• Drive vehicles to service lanes and parking areas as required.
• Make key tags for vehicles.

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Compares serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice.Inspects vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice.Records the description of damages and lists missing items on the delivery receipt.Parks new vehicles in assigned areas.Catalogs and stores keys.Assigns stock control numbers to cars.Moves sold vehicles to maximize use of space and keep the lot in order.Delivers sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department.Services vehicles in storage to protect tires, battery, and finish against deterioration.Maintains new- and used-vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary.Places buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.Keeps new- and used-vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards.Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary.Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.Makes key tags for vehicles.Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
