Job summary

Auto Centers is seeking a Lot Attendant to maintain the appearance and presentation of our vehicle inventory. You will wash interiors and exteriors, report simple maintenance needs, and keep the lot organized for optimal customer display.

The role requires reliable attendance, strong customer-service skills, and the ability to work safely around moving vehicles. Prior dealership experience is helpful, and the position is on-site at our Mattoon location.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required; 1–3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Wash and clean interior and exterior of all vehicles for showroom appeal.
  • Note and report simple maintenance needs to service.
  • Remove snow and debris from cars and lot as needed.
  • Rearrange vehicles for sales or lot presentation and organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Summary/Objective:

The Lot Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of duties as it relates to the maintenance and lot presentation of vehicles.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Washing/cleaning the interior and exterior of all new and used vehicles to ensure they look good for potential customers.
  • Simple, basic vehicle maintenance notice and report to service.
  • Snow and/or debris removal from cars and lot as necessary.
  • Rearrange vehicles for sales or lot reorganization.
  • Various other duties as assigned by management.

  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Preferred Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
