Job summary

Auto Centers in Mattoon, IL is seeking a Lot Attendant to maintain and present the vehicle lot and assist with basic cleaning and organization. You will wash interiors and exteriors of new and used vehicles to keep them showroom-ready and report simple maintenance needs to the service team.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to follow instructions, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather. This role includes rearranging vehicles for display and assisting with other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely.

Responsibilities

  • Washing/cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles to keep them showroom-ready.
  • Report simple maintenance needs to service as needed.
  • Snow and/or debris removal from cars and lot.

About this position
Summary/Objective

The Lot Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of duties as it relates to the maintenance and lot presentation of vehicles.

Essential Job Functions
  • Washing/cleaning the interior and exterior of all new and used vehicles to ensure they look good for potential customers.
  • Simple, basic vehicle maintenance notice and report to service.
  • Snow and/or debris removal from cars and lot as necessary.
  • Rearrange vehicles for sales or lot reorganization.
  • Various other duties as assigned by management.

Preferred Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
