The Loss Prevention Specialist works as part of a team responsible for protecting company assets by preventing inventory shrinkage caused by accidents, internal, external, or paperwork errors.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Management to control shrinkage
• Conduct investigations, maintain reports, testify in court, interview suspects, witnesses, and victims via physical or CCTV means
• Perform safety reviews and inspections
• Conduct employee spot checks on purchases, personal belongings, and trash
• Perform physical security checks
• Develop and execute emergency/disaster plans
• Maintain accountability through clear performance expectations
• Additional duties as required
• Collaborate with store management on loss prevention matters

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older
• Passion for service and helping others
• Cheerful and positive attitude
• Reliable and consistent
• Basic knowledge of shoplifting laws or law enforcement experience
• Willing to work flexible hours
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to sit long periods, stand, and physically apprehend shoplifters
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly
