Job description

Loss Prevention Specialist is responsible for the detection and apprehension of shoplifting subjects. Loss Prevention Specialists will assist in promoting and monitoring compliance with Company policies and procedures related to theft prevention, safety, and inventory control. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work independently or in a team environment. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in various stores to maximize their potential.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor customer and teammate activities for potential theft.
  2. Complete investigation reports and all paperwork related to audits and other shortage control programs.
  3. Assist the Loss Prevention Department in conducting internal theft investigations.
  4. Complete audits of operational, safety, and inventory control related procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Prior experience in Loss Prevention or an educational background in criminal justice, security, or law enforcement preferred.
  2. Competent in using CCTV systems and understanding external/internal theft surveillance and apprehension methodologies.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  4. Self-starter with excellent work ethics, who makes good decisions in stressful situations.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Willing to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours.
  7. Must successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen.
