Security Industry Specialists, Inc. in Miami seeks a Loss Prevention Specialist to deter theft and apprehend shoplifters when needed, ensuring a safe environment for customers and staff.

You will report to the Regional Security Retail Manager and collaborate with store teams. Responsibilities include undercover surveillance, asset recovery, preserving evidence, preparing incident reports, and testifying in court.

Qualifications

• Two plus years of loss prevention experience.
• Proficient with PC and iOS devices.
• General operating knowledge of retail CCTV equipment.
• Must complete state guard certification as required by state law, and maintain any client certifications.
• Dependable team player with strong customer service skills.
• Willingness to work varied shifts and overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

About the role:The Loss Prevention Specialist provides additional support to the retail operations by deterring theft and performing arrests as necessary. Loss Prevention Specialists ensure that the client, its associates, and customers are provided with a safe and pleasant working and shopping environment. This position reports to the Regional Security Retail Manager of the area to which they are assigned.In this role, your responsibilities will be:• Conduct undercover surveillance to detect and apprehend shoplifters• Recover asset and/or make safe apprehensions• Maintain strict compliance with the law and company policies concerning apprehensions, search and seizure, and the preservation of evidence• Prepare incident reports relative to all theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, and other activities as assigned• Testify in court concerning any criminal or civil case• Perform other related duties as requiredAs a candidate you must have:• Two plus years loss prevention experience• Proficient in PC and iOS hardware and software• General operating knowledge of retail security camera equipment and CCTV• Complete and maintain state guard certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as all client requested certification; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise noted• Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm with the ability to deliver high level of customer service• Have flexibility to work any shifts on any day of the week (Mon-Sun) and willingness to assist the team with overtime when neededWe offer:• $25/hr• Health, Dental, Vision, and 401k for eligible employees• Paid Time Off including Sick/Safe Time• A dynamic and challenging work environment with opportunity for growthAdditional Information:Security Agency #B2600174Private Detective #A1100158Security Industry Specialists, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
