Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to deter theft, support compliance, and protect people, assets, and company integrity in a fast-paced store environment. You will maintain a visible security presence, review exception reports, and conduct surveillance to identify and mitigate risks while upholding safety standards and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence to support a safe and secure store environment for customers, associates, and vendors while delivering excellent customer service.
• Monitor checkout areas and review exception reports to identify fraud and ensure compliance with cash handling policies.
• Conduct surveillance throughout the store to detect theft, safety risks, and operational issues.
• Apprehend individuals committing theft in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Respond to EAS alarms and investigate incidents.
• Monitor receiving and storage areas and conduct delivery audits to detect vendor fraud and ensure procedural compliance.
• Conduct inspections and audits related to shrink control, safety, and physical security standards; document findings.
• Maintain and operate asset protection equipment, including CCTV, EAS systems, and alarm systems.
• Conduct investigations with thorough documentation and partner with store leadership and law enforcement as needed.
• Train and communicate with associates on loss prevention, safety, and compliance practices.

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence to support a safe and secure store environment for customers, associates, and vendors while delivering excellent customer service
• Monitor checkout areas and review exception reports to identify fraud, associate dishonesty, and ensure compliance with cash handling policies
• Conduct surveillance throughout the store to detect theft, safety risks, and operational issues
• Apprehend individuals committing theft in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, ensuring safety of all parties
• Respond to electronic article surveillance (EAS) alarms and investigate incidents
• Monitor receiving and storage areas and conduct delivery audits to detect vendor fraud and ensure procedural compliance
• Conduct inspections and audits related to shrink control, safety, and physical security standards; document and communicate findings
• Maintain and operate asset protection equipment, including CCTV, EAS systems, and alarm systems
• Conduct investigations as directed, including thorough documentation, and partner with store leadership and law enforcement as needed
• Train and communicate with associates on loss prevention, safety, and compliance practices while identifying and addressing unsafe conditions
