Job summary

Goodwill Southern California is seeking a Loss Prevention Safety Specialist to deliver exceptional customer service while monitoring surveillance and securing facilities. You will assist in emergencies, de‑escalate incidents, and prepare detailed reports for the Regional Loss Prevention Manager.

This role emphasizes confidentiality, teamwork, and flexibility, with duties on the sales floor and in back areas.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of Loss Prevention and/or Security experience.
• Strong written communication for incident reports, emails and logs.
• Basic knowledge of Windows programs (Word, Excel, Teams, E-mail).
• Familiarity with camera surveillance systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide alert, professional assistance to the Loss Prevention team.
• Deliver excellent customer service to employees and guests.
• Prepare incident reports and logs including camera logs.
• Assist Regional Loss Prevention Managers with projects.
• Monitor sales floor, deter shoplifting, and assist in emergencies.
• Promptly report serious incidents to appropriate parties.
