Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to help protect people, assets, and company integrity in a fast-paced Colorado Springs store. You will deter theft, support compliance, monitor checkouts, review reports, respond to alarms, investigate incidents, and train associates on loss prevention.

This role requires strong observation, excellent communication, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently or with a team, with flexible hours including nights, weekends,

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence to deter theft and safeguard customers, associates, and vendors while delivering excellent service.
• Monitor checkouts and review reports to detect fraud and ensure cash-handling policy compliance.
• Conduct store surveillance to detect theft, safety risks, and operational issues.
• Apprehend theft suspects per policy and law, ensuring safety for all.
• Respond to EAS alarms and investigate incidents.
• Audit receiving and storage areas to detect vendor fraud and ensure compliance.
• Inspect shrink control, safety, and security standards; document and communicate findings.
• Maintain asset protection equipment such as CCTV, EAS, and alarms.
• Conduct investigations with thorough documentation and coordinate with leadership and law enforcement.
• Train associates on loss prevention, safety, and compliance; address unsafe conditions.
