Per-Mar-Security-Services-1 is seeking a Full-Time Loss Prevention Officer in Champaign, IL. You will identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and CCTV, report writing, and coordination with local law enforcement.

The role may require courtroom testimony and flexible shifts. Candidates should have a high school diploma, pass background checks and drug screening, and be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

Qualifications

• Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening.
• Must obtain state required PERC prior to employment.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Write legible, accurate and easily understood reports.
• Assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation.
• Trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision.
• Attendance for scheduled shifts; tardiness and absenteeism not tolerated.
• Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus but not required.
• Criminal Justice or related studies a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent (minimum).

Responsibilities

• Identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of Closed Circuit TV Cameras.
• Prepare and submit accurate loss prevention reports.
• Interact with local law enforcement as needed.
• Provide courtroom testimony as required.
