Job summary

Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking an Overnight Loss Prevention Officer to patrol resort properties, monitor security systems, and respond to incidents during overnight hours. This role supports guests, associates, and property across lodging, recreation, marina, event spaces, and parking areas.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, Texas Private Security License, and CPR/First Aid certifications, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently at night.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Texas Private Security License must be obtainable and maintained.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of the resort property to identify security or safety concerns.
• Monitor surveillance systems and serve as the central communication point for overnight operations.
• Respond to medical emergencies, security incidents, safety hazards, and guest or associate requests.
• Provide first aid and CPR when necessary and coordinate with EMS, fire, or law enforcement.
• Investigate incidents and complete accurate, detailed reports.
• Perform safety inspections of fire exits, lighting, alarms, and security equipment.
• Complete required administrative duties, including report filing and data entry.
• Enforce resort policies and procedures with a professional presence.

Position Summary

The Overnight Loss Prevention Officer plays a critical role in protecting guests, associates, members, and resort property during overnight hours. This position is responsible for conducting patrols, monitoring security systems, responding to incidents and emergencies, and maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the resort.

The Overnight Loss Prevention Officer helps protect a diverse resort environment, including guest accommodations, recreational facilities, restaurants, marina operations, event spaces, parking areas, and common areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols throughout the resort property to identify and address security or safety concerns.
• Monitor surveillance systems and serve as the central communication point for overnight operations.
• Respond to medical emergencies, security incidents, safety hazards, and guest or associate assistance requests.

• Investigate incidents and complete accurate, detailed reports.

• Respond to incidents across resort facilities, including lodging areas, recreational amenities, marina operations, event spaces, parking areas, and common spaces.
• Maintain key control procedures and process lost-and-found items.
• Complete required administrative duties, including report filing and data entry.
• Enforce resort policies and procedures while maintaining a professional presence.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Texas Private Security License.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours.

Preferred

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, emergency response, or a related field.
• Experience working in hospitality, resort, residential, or large-property environments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
• Ability to patrol large areas of the resort property and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Must wear slip-resistant, closed-toe footwear.
