Job summary

LHH is seeking a Loss Prevention Analyst in San Diego to support asset protection, operational compliance, and fraud prevention initiatives. The role combines transaction analysis, surveillance review, audits, and investigative reporting to identify risks, reduce shrink, and improve store-level compliance.

This position targets candidates with retail loss prevention, asset protection, or fraud investigation experience who enjoy uncovering trends and protecting business assets.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, Fraud Investigation, Retail Auditing, Risk Analysis, or a related field.
• Experience reviewing POS transactions and exception-based reporting.
• Experience using CCTV or video surveillance systems to support investigations.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.
• Retail, restaurant, hospitality, convenience store, or multi-location experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review surveillance footage to investigate theft, fraud, policy violations, and operational concerns
• Analyze POS transaction reports, including voids, refunds, discounts, cash shortages, unpaid orders, and other exception reporting
• Compare transaction activity against video evidence to identify discrepancies and potential loss
• Review store opening and closing procedures, cash handling practices, back door activity, and other operational processes
• Investigate trends, anomalies, and recurring issues impacting operational compliance
• Prepare detailed reports and document findings for leadership review
• Partner with store leadership and operations teams to recommend corrective actions and loss prevention strategies
• Maintain strict confidentiality while handling investigations and sensitive information

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Pay: $25-$30/hour DOE
