Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking an Asset Protection Associate at our Las Vegas store to greet customers, monitor the Greeter Kiosk, and answer questions while upholding our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. You will respond to EAS activations, assist with deactivation of EAS devices, and report concerns to the district Asset Protection team.

The role requires flexibility to work different shifts and a commitment to store safety and customer

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Model customer-first behavior by delivering excellent service.

• Monitor entry/exit areas and assist with EAS activations/deactivations.
• Answer questions about item locations and guide customers to registers.
• Report suspicious behavior to district Asset Protection managers.
• Assist with bascarts that may lock up with Purcheck and address safety concerns.
• Maintain flexibility to work various shifts and comply with company policies.

Job description

Provide customer service by acknowledging customers as they enter and exit the store, answer questions, assist with deactivation of electronic article surveillance devices, and monitor the Greeter Kiosk. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Responsibilities

• Model customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
• Acknowledge customers in a friendly manner as they enter and exit the store
• Maneuver in the store's entry and exit areas
• Politely ask customers to see their receipt for non-bagged items and direct customers to registers when non-bagged items are observed
• Respond to activations of Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems
• Assist customers with deactivation of EAS devices
• Answer customer questions concerning the location of items or sections within the store
• Direct communication with the district Asset Protection (AP) manager/district AP specialists to report suspicious behavior
• Assist customers with bascarts that may lock up with Purcheck
• Report safety concerns to supervisor
• Comply with corporate policies and promote/follow company initiatives
• Maintain flexibility to work any shift
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

Minimum

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work within strict time frames/resolute deadlines
• Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail and ability to draw conclusions
