Loss Control Representative-Insurance Inspections-Denver/Broomfield
Job Description

As a Verisk Field Representative, you will evaluate commercial business sites for multiple lines of insurance coverage, loss prevention, and risk assessment. You will assist insurers in their policy underwriting and pricing decisions through onsite observations and reporting. This is a full-time position where you will use effective planning and organizational skills to schedule and complete commercial business site visits and reports. You’ll get to witness an endless variety of properties and business operations through the lens of the insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

As a Verisk Field Representative, you will:

  1. Schedule and conduct on-site visits and complete reports to evaluate risk. Identify business operations, construction materials, fire protection systems, safety measures, and develop safety and loss control recommendations.
  2. Represent Verisk and our customers professionally via phone, in person, and in written communication.
  3. Ensure data quality by paying attention to detail and communicating effectively in completing accurate and customer-centric reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; preferred fields include Risk Management, Insurance, Construction Management, Property and Liability Insurance, Safety. Experience in insurance loss control, underwriting, claims, construction, fire safety, or industrial safety is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to produce concise, informative reports.
  • Proficiency with technology, including laptops, mobile devices, MS Office, and mobile apps. Ability to measure square footage, perimeter, and percentages.
  • Self-motivated with planning and goal-setting skills. Ability to efficiently schedule and conduct site visits with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail, data gathering, mapping, and traveling to sites. Ability to work in various environments and weather conditions, including walking, standing, climbing stairs, and occasional ladder use.
  • Professional designations such as CFPS, CSP, ARM, ALCM, NFPA, or CPCU are advantageous.

Minimum requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Ability to learn and apply training through various formats.
  • Distraction-free remote work environment with high-speed internet.
  • Primary residence near the assigned territory. This is a remote position requiring onsite property visits within a geographic area.
