Looking for Technicians in Des Moines, Iowa

I'm the shop foreman at Honest Wrenches in Des Moines, Iowa and we are currently looking for A or B technicians looking to make a change. We have a strong team atmosphere where the core of our crew has remained the same even when we opened a second location in West Des Moines. Everyone gets along and that is extremely important to us. We don't want anyone with bad attitudes. Both the shop owners are also pretty involved and like to take us out on quarterly shop outings. Every year for Vision we also close the shop and take everyone who wants to go.

The shop is fully current on tooling and shop management systems. We use Tekmetric with digital inspections. Between myself and the shop we also have Snap On Zeus, Snap On Solus, iScanSF, Autel 908, Topdon Phoenix, Pico 4425a, new Hoffman alignment machine, and much more.

We are looking for anyone who either has solid diag abilities or is capable of hanging parts and wants to grow. The shop is set up right now so I do 100% of the diag with a couple other techs to do the repairs and we would really like another tech who can help on the diag side or someone I can train to do that. The shop pays for as much training as you want to take as well as reimbursement for ASE's.

I'm not 100% certain on pay as I don't have final say BUT I know we pay up to $35 an hour flat rate (we have a crazy good guarantee program so we can prove to you we have the hours for you) and most of our techs turn 60+ so there is plenty of potential for this to be a $100k a year position for the right people. And EVERYTHING pays here including inspections and we do a ton of preventative maintenance work and most jobs I diagnose I get to determine labor so if it's something that doesn't pay enough we adjust accordingly. We also believe in getting paid appropriately for diag so we adjust time accordingly (we have different levels I'd be happy to explain more in depth).

We only work M-F 7:30-5:30 (really are just cleaning up starting at 5). We offer paid vacation, 401K with company match, health, dental, vision, life, paid uniforms, etc. And we can get your box moved for you so you don't have to worry about that.
